Golden Agri‐Resources (GAR) has introduced an upgrade to its on‐line sustainability dashboard. The dashboard was originally launched in May last year, and was developed in partnership with The Forest Trust(TFT).
The new version is designed to improve traceability and provides information on the company’s palm oil mills, nucleus estates, smallholders, third‐party suppliers, as well as its refineries. By end 2015, GAR is expected to achieve full supply chain traceability to palm oil mills, a central milestone in the implementation of GAR’s Forest Conservation Policy (FCP).
The update is a part of GAR’s renewal of its overall sustainability strategy, designed to strengthen FCP implementation. The dashboard will continue to evolve based on stakeholder inputs and new updates will be added on Social Conflict Resolution and Grievance Handling.
Newly appointed Managing Director of Sustainability and Strategic Stakeholder Engagement, Agus Purnomo said, “GAR’s no deforestation policy is now four years old. Transparency with our stakeholders is extremely important. The evolution of the dashboard is a part of this journey”.
